LONDON (UK): England U19 selection panel, led by head coach Richard Dawson, on Wednesday chose a 15-strong squad and two travel reserves for ICC U19 cricket cricket men’s cup.
Hampshire’s Tom Pers was chosen as captain squad, with Warwickshire’s Jacob Bethell Vice-Captain.
The tournament will take place in the Caribbean in January, with England withdrawn in group A with 2020 Bangladesh winners, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.
England won the final plate in the 2020 tournament.
Richard Dawson in the official release said: “It is always a very attractive moment for every young person who will be chosen in a representative age group team, especially when it is for the World Cup.” “We really look forward to going out and tested ourselves against the best young players in the world, and continued our development as parties and as individuals,” he added.
