Thiruvananthapuram: Nine more cases of Omicron have been reported in the state, taking total cases to 24.
Among nine reported cases, six were in Ernakulam and three were in Thiruvananthapuram.
Two people who came from England, two of Tanzania and each of the Ghana and Ireland had been tested positive for Omicron in Ernakulam.
Two people from Nigeria and one from England have tested positively in Thiruvananthapuram.
The sixth which has reached the airport in Ernakulam was tested positively in the test carried out at the airport itself.
Therefore they are isolated in hospitals directly from the airport.

However, both people (husband and wife), who came from Nigeria to Thiruvananthapuram on December 10, were tested positively only on December 17.
