Ahmedabad: The country’s first 5G technology trial for rural broadband began on Thursday in Ajol Village, with a Pangkalan Transceiver Station (BTS) installed 17 km in Unava Town in Gandhinagar District.

On Thursday, the Gujarat Dot LSA team, which consisted of Ddgs Ajatshatru Somani, Roshan Lal Meena, the Directors of Sumit Mishra and Vikas Dadhich, together with the technical team of Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) and Nokia, visited 5G Gandhinagar testing sites.
On November 19, the DOT team checked the speed on the Mahatma Mandir 5G site in Gandhinagar City, which was found around 1.5 Gbps, about 100 times faster than 4G.
Speed ​​tests are carried out in non-standalone 5G mode.
