Mumbai: City crime branch has recovered a gold-studded diamond bracelet worth RS 28 Lakh which Con-Woman Sapna aka Lubna Vishir has been sold to a jewelry in Andheri after taking it from other jewelry in Bandra.
Vizier, who was arrested earlier this month for allegedly extorting Rs 3.25 Crore from the owner of the sugar after honey trapped him, had taken a bracelet from Bandra Jeweller without paying it.
The police said they recovered the bracelet from Andher Jeweler Shailesh Jain.
Jain admitted that Vizier had sold bracelets for Rs 10 Lakh, police said.
The source said Jain also told them that in the past too, he had bought gold ornaments from Vizier.
The police tend to make him a witness in this case.
The 10 crime branch unit has last week to catch Viziers because of cheating bandra jewelry.
He said that Vizier, posing as a celebrity, came to his shop at Turner Road to buy several jewelry to win his belief.
Then, one day, he arrived at the Mercedes driven by the driver, and with the pretext of showing the jewelry to her husband, he took a golden-studded gold bracelet worth Rs 28 Lakh and never returned it.
“He began to give false reasons and then refused to give money,” said an officer.
Jewelry then filed a complaint with the Bandra Police.
