Gurugram: A 43-year-old farmer in Bhondsi allegedly attacked and robbed his phone and Rs 8000 in cash by three men on Friday night.
The victim was on his way home after buying a sprinkler for his field when he was surrounded by three men on a motorcycle around 8pm.
Janakraj claims that he was threatened and asked to hand over all his belongings.
When he opposed, one of the three men cut his thumb with a knife after he fell to the ground.
Another defendant pointed to the gun to his head after they took his cellphone and Rs 8,000 in cash from him.
The defendant was riding a motorcycle and their faces covered with the exhaust.
After being attacked, Janakraj was in a hurry to the hospital and had 11 stitches in his thumb.
“My thumb was injured after I was taken to the hospital.
The incident was unexpected.
It took a full day to recover after that I filed a complaint at the Bhondsi Police Station,” Jankraj told Toi.
The case has been submitted against three unknown men at the Bhondsi police station under it 392 (penalties for robbery), 394 (voluntarily causing injuries to carry out robbery), 34 (general intentions) of IPCs and relevant weapons parts.
“We are checking all the closest CCTV cameras to track the perpetrators.
We hope one man will be arrested in a few days,” said a police officer.
