Hyderabad: The New Niti Aayog report praises Telangana not only to achieve universal immunization of children, but also for its health center, modern operating theater and workspace.
The State Health Index entitled ‘Healthy Countries, Indian Progressive’, has registered Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Assam as the top three in terms of annual growth performance.
This report analyzes health conditions in America between 2018-19 and 2019-20 and says that Telangana is a top player in many aspects.
“Telangana appears as the strongest player on the overall and incremental performance because for some indicators have achieved the best performance.
For example, he achieved universal children’s full immunization and total notification of TB cases …” said the report.
While stating that all certified district hospitals under Laqshya and Kayakalp scored more than 70%, the report added “No nursing nurses (ANMM) vacancies in the sub-center and medical officers at the Primary Health Center (PHCS)”.
In terms of gradual performance, Telangana made a large increase with almost half the indicators in ‘fully achieved’, ‘the most improved’ or ‘enhanced category’.
“In terms of overall performance, Telangana increases its position from the fourth to one third, the seventh to the sixth to the sixth, and the ninth to the eighth.
Telangana does significantly better in the health index than Haryana or Jammu and Kashmir despite having the same level of poverty.

Furthermore said that only five larger countries and two smaller countries, showed good overall performance and continued to increase their health index scores from the base year (2018-19) to the year of reference (2019-20) for analysis.
