Patna: Bihar has emerged as the second worst player, right above Uttar Pradesh, in terms of overall health performance among larger countries in the fourth health index released by Niti Aayog on Monday.
Kerala has emerged up among 19 larger states.
The Bihar index score is 31, a little better than 30.57 up.
The maximum index score that can be achieved by the state / UT can be achieved is 100 and Kerala Scored 82.20.
However, in terms of incremental performance, Bihar is placed in the larger categories of countries that have shown positive results.
However, this is not significant if there is a Bihar.
The fourth round of the health index has been calculated by 2019-20 as a reference year and 2018-19 as the base year.
While the maximum incremental performance is indicated by up 5.52 points more than the base year, Bihar’s performance has increased by 0.76 points in the year of reference from the base year.
According to the report, countries that show an increase of 0.01 to 2.0 points have been placed in the least improved categories, they are less than 0 as not increased, namely from 2.1 to 4 more enhanced and the most enhanced.
In accordance with this categorization, Bihar and four other states fall in the least improved category.
The report said among the 19 larger countries, only four increased their rankings in the year of reference from the base year, while 10 states, including Bihar, maintaining their rank and five countries showed a decrease in their rank when compared to the basic year.
Minister of Health Mangal Pandey said he would first study reports released by Niti Aayog and then commented on it.
