Jaipur: The country has witnessed a surge in sudden Covid infection, reported 121 cases in 48 hours.
After increasing cases, the state government issued a new guideline to the district collectors who directed them more on contact contacts, sampling for covid tests, vaccination and to ensure the appropriate Covid behavior.
In the guideline, which was issued by the Presidential Secretary Akhil Arora, the collectors knew about the commemoration of experts on Omicron, which three times more contagious than Delta variants, while mentioning that in Rajasthan also, cases have increased in the last few days.
For effective Covid management, the Ministry of Health has reminded district collectors.
“Regardless of vaccination, searching for contacts and behaviors that fit Covid, we have directed them to focus on Covid testing.
Each district has been asked to ensure a minimum of 500 samples collected every day per million populations.
This can increase in the case depending on the district’s peposititivity level , “said Vaibhav Galriya, Secretary (Health), to the Toi.
