A few months before this increased drive, the center has accused the Jharkhand of Wasting Vaccine doses at a distant level and above other countries.
Central officials set this waste at 37.3% of the total consignment sent to the country.
Nothing else from the Chair of the Minister of Hemant Soren came out with the rebuttal claiming that the waste was as low as 4.65%.
The same, 1.83.84,480 people have taken their first dose and 1,10.08,958 people have taken the second dose they took a total vaccine number to 2,93,93,438 doses.
On Wednesday only, as many as 1.35,173 doses were given at 2,276 session sites consisting of 23 private sites.
East Singhbhum with 90% coverage of the first dose and 64% coverage of the second dose is the best player while package and sahebanjj with 38% coverage and Chatra and Lowerhar with 39% coverage of the second dose is at the bottom.
Singh’s health secretary head acknowledged that the joy and awareness among people for vaccines seemed to have lost steam over time.
“We do our best to increase coverage.
Overcoming doubts by spreading awareness and regulating vaccine stocks if shortages are possible but when people become careless and relaxed, it is difficult to convince them,” he said.
