Chhattisgarh catches KaliCharan in MP, War of Words follows

Written by news2in

Raipur / Bhopal: Chhattisgarh Police arrested KaliCharan Maharaj – wanted to make an insulting statement against Mahatma Gandhi and the Minority Community – from Khajuraho in neighboring Madhya Pradesh on Thursday even when the police added a boost against him.
Raipur’s court returned it in police custody for two days.
The arrest triggered war-words between the Government MP and Chhattisgarh, with MPT against the MP Minister in the way the KaliCharan was arrested and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel wondered whether Mishra was annoyed with the arrest of someone who had spoken against Gandhi.
There is no protocol violated, Baghel said.
“Narottam Mishra must clarify whether he is upset or happy that someone who speaks opposite Gandhiji has been arrested,” Baghel said.
In Bhopal, asking about Baghel’s question, Mishra told reporters, “KaliCharan said what was unpleasant, so was the way he was arrested.” Previously, Minister MP Home said the local police did not believe in the arrest, and argued that it was “violation of the Spirit Federal Structure”.
Mishra said she had asked the state DGP to take problems with her Chhattisgarh colleague.
“I have asked DGP to also seek an explanation from Chhattisgarh DGP,” Mishra told reporters at his home on Thursday morning.
Kalioraran faces fir shots in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra because they used insulting words against Mahatma Gandhi and called Godse Nathuram in ‘Dharam Sansad’ in Raipur last week.
After commenting on December 26, he turned off his cellphone and left Chhattisgarh for an undisclosed purpose, Chhattisgarh police said.
Police Raipur submitted FIR, but Kalioraran issued a video statement to say he did not regret using ‘Apshabd’ (insulting words) against Gandhi.
