Thane: Three people were arrested for allegedly having a Mephedrone powder worth Rs 2.5 Crore at Navi Mumbai, police said on Friday.
Anti-narcotics cells from Mumbai Navi police also explore the Mephedrone factory manufacturing plant at Poynad Alibaug, said Police Chief Bipin Kumar Singh.
Police on Thursday caught Karim Rafique Khamkar (39), Zaki Afroz Pittu (33) and Subash Raghupati Patil (40), he said.
Khamkar was first nabbed with Mephedrone powder, which he did for sale, said the official.
The arrest of leading the police to two more charges, he said, added that a total of 2,500 kg of narcotics was confiscated from their ownership.
The ANC also seized the machine used to produce more drugs than Rs 3 Lakh and sealed the factory, the official said.
