Gurugram: City recorded 180 fresh Covid-19 cases on Thursday, the largest surge in infection in the past seven months, took the calculation to 1,82,682.
This is the highest count since May 25, when 220 people have been tested positively.
Gurugram on Wednesday reported 151 new cases, more than doubled from Tuesday 72.
No Covid deaths reported on Thursday.
The overall position level stands at 0.6%.

We are also ready to handle severe cases if needed,” said Chief Medical Officer Virender Yadav.
At present, the city has five detention zones, including housing communities in sectors 28, 58 and 69, and two homes in Sector 45 and Palam Vihar.
Areas with three or more active cases are notified as detention zones.
New areas that can become a new detention zone immediately include the flat in the 58’s Ireo Grand Arch sector, which has four active cases, a building in Hibiscus in Nirvana’s country, sector 50 (three active cases), two flats near the north, sector 50 with total Four active cases, flat in Emaar Palm Drive, Sector 66 (four cases), towers at Emaar Palm Hills, Sector 77 (four cases) and flat on DLF Crest, Sector 54 (four cases)).

The detention zone is deemed symbolized after a period of 14 days.
