Kanpur: The police arrested two more on Friday in connection with the conspiracy to trigger supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Until now, seven defendants have been arrested in this matter, while the search took place for three more people, the police said.
During interrogation, the defendant acknowledged that the entire drama manuscript had been prepared in advance at the House of Sachin Kesarwani.
“We take action not for the purpose of creating a commotion but to take credit to come in good party books”, the defendant said.
Police Commissioner Asim Kumar Arun said during the interrogation discussed that on the night of December 26, which was two days before the PM rally, SP Chhatra Sabha’s National Secretary, Sachin Kesarwani had held a meeting at his residence in Beware Vikas Naubasta.
The people featured in video recording have attended this meeting.
“In accordance with the defendant, it was decided to bring four-wheeled vehicles with BJP banners and posters and made their videos while harming them and then made the same viral video on social media,” said an official official for an investigation.
“The defendant could not be given a clean chit from a conspiracy plan only based on their statement.
The police are still investigating the problem”, the police commissioner said.
Police Office Inspector Naubasta Amit Bhadana said in this case, two accused of being identified in the video had been arrested.
“Both have nothing to do with the Samajwadi Party, but they are friends Nikesh Yadav,” Inspector added.
