MySuru: For three weeks, the controversy over the replacement of the name and installation of the law in Mathru Mandali Junction near Paduvarahalli has grown bigger, with members of two different communities that fight their nomination.
However, on Thursday, MySore City Corporation (MCC) puts ending the dispute by moving a circle to the ground under the police protection.
The dismantling of the circle was done a day after two members of the community gathered in a circle – one group wants a statue of BR Ambedkar at the intersection, while the others demanded that the statue of the Kuvempu be placed in a circle.
Mysuru Mayor Sunana Palanetra said, “A young man tried to slit his throat with a knife after PKS released the Ambedkar statue from the circle earlier this month.
The problem continued for three weeks, and on Wednesday, two groups gathered in a circle, demanding the installation of their icons at the intersection, “Sunana told the Times of India.
The Supreme Court has ordered that no statue will be installed at the intersection.
Earlier in December, the Chairman of the Bukavaraj Minister Bommai had directed the MCC to move carefully when he arrived at the installation of statues in public places, closed on the heel of controversy that the removal of the Ambedkar statue triggered.
Meanwhile, said that the intersection would be developed by Ahresh.Mysu City Deputy Police Commissioner (Law and Command) Pradeep Gunan confirmed that MCC officials had sought protection for the demolition of the circle on Thursday to prevent any unwanted incidents from it.
DCP said that, two cases were ordered with the provisions of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) in connection with the incident reported in the circle on Wednesday.
Cases have been booked at VV Puram police station and Jl Puram.
Members of the two groups have been ordered for assembly that violated the law, and the summons issued demanded that they work with investigations.
Gunti added, “We have placed the police in a circle as a precaution.
The situation was controlled.
There was no incident reported when the circle was lucky.”
