Noida / Ghaziabad: With 38 fresh Covid cases on Thursday, Gautam Budh Nagar saw an 81% infection surge in the last 24 hours.
With this, the district calculation has touched 200-mark this month, which was the highest since July when a total of 156 cases were recorded.
According to health officials, one of the patients, who recently returned from abroad, is among new cases.
At present, there are 135 active cases in the district, most of them are in house isolation.
Ghaziabad, meanwhile, has registered 15 new cases, three more than Wednesday.
Two patients have returned from abroad recently, officials said.
The district has seen a total of 123 cases this month, which is also the highest since July when 65 cases are recorded.
There were 86 active cases in this district, officials said, adding that the maximum case in Ghaziabad had been reported from Indirapuram followed by Nehru Nagar and crossed the republic.
In GB Nagar, Block Bibrakh and Dankave have recorded the maximum case.
Thursday, GB Nagar has tested around 61,000 samples and recorded a positive rate of 0.03%, up from 0.01% in November.
The sampling level of the sample in Ghaziabad, where a sample of 1.58 lakh was tested until Wednesday, rose to 0.08% in December from 0.01% from one month to back.
Health officials say the majority of filtered patients has so far shown mild symptoms and does not need a hospital hospital.
Meanwhile, Sahibadad Mla Sunil Sharma was tested positive Covid on Thursday night.
