Hyderabad: Even though the police claimed that the new year celebration passed without a fatal road accident, five people died in a separate road accident between Friday night and Saturday morning.
One of these cases is allegedly in connection with drunk driving.
Minoabad police said that the incident took place at 18:20 on Friday when the driver of the car, Rama Chander Reddy, a farmer, who was allegedly drunk, hit a bicycle from the opposite direction.
S Narasimha, 43, and racer of a female racer fell from a bicycle.
Narasimha, who suffered poignant injuries, was shifted to a local hospital, where he was declared dead.
The woman escaped with injury.
After the accident, the defendant escaped from the place and left his car.
Based on the vehicle registration number, the defendant was arrested.
The amount of blood alcohol (BAC) is 186 mg / 100 ml.
“This is not related to the new year celebration.

Likewise, in Hayathnagar, two friends – M narender rose and B Mounika traveled by bicycle from Ghatkesar to discuss late on Friday night.
However, the car to Nagaram crashed into a bicycle from the back side.
Narender died after he shifted to the hospital, while Mounika fled with an injury.
The defendant was identified as M Charan and a registered case.
In Kadthala, when a car driver suddenly changed correctly to reach the fuel station, allegedly without turning to the indicator, a motorist who came from the opposite direction died after the car hit his bicycle.
The incident occurred at 10:30 a.m.
on Friday.
