Patna: Overall 84 Doctors and MBBS Students Nalanda Medical College & Hospital (NMCH) Among 142 people in Patna have been tested positively Covid-19 because the country recorded 352 new cases in the last 24 hours on Sunday.
This is the maximum number of Covid cases one day detected among health service workers in Bihar so far.
The MBBS doctors and students were tested themselves after 17 colleagues and their batch friends had been tested positive the day before.
Official sources do not rule out the cases of omicrons among them because many doctors from all over the country have participated in the National Conference of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Patna on Tuesday.
Doctor NMCC admitted that all positive testing had attended the IMA conference.
A massive increase in Covid cases was witnessed on the day when less than one lakh sample was tested in the state.
The style of registering 110 new cases in a day against a total of 95,875 samples were tested throughout the state before and the results were uploaded by the Ministry of Health on Sunday.
The Secretary of the Additional Chief (Health) Pratyaya Amrit was confirmed to the Toi that 84 samples of NMC MBBS doctors and students were found positive on Sundays.
Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh said the majority of them did not show symptoms, while rest had mild symptoms such as sore throat and fever.
“We will do their sample cross tests,” Singh said.
A health department official said the spread of the community seems to have begun in Patna and style.
“Cough and cold or fever should not be considered as simple flu now,” he added.
Even a doctor at NMCH acknowledges that cases increase rapidly in the state capital.
“On Saturday, 15 students of MBBS and two PG students were tested positively in an antigen test that was fast,” he said, warned people to avoid moving if possible and followed all Covid protocols.
1,074 Active case, Covid case actively crossed a three-digit mark and reached 1074 in Bihar.
Patna’s district alone has half of the active case (542) in the state.
Increased number of cases one day 12 times more than a week.
In accordance with the data distributed by the Ministry of Health on December 27, Bihar has registered 26 active cases and 116.
However, with each day passed, the state has witnessed a massive increase in new Covid cases.
Even the level of participants increased from 0.025% on December 27 to 0.88% on Sundays.
Apart from Patna and Style, other districts register less than 15 new cases on Sundays.
Munger and Jehanabad each have 13 new cases.
