Jaipur: The State Government has prepared the first draft for the State Curriculum (SCF) framework under new education policies, focusing on localization of content with activity-based learning.
From new academic sessions, state textbooks will include special modules in local languages, traffic rules, environment, climate change and stories with local characters.
SCF will submit the first draft to the Ministry of Education to be reviewed.
The Rajasthan Research & Training Council (RSCERT), Udaipur, is developing a curriculum framework for the country.
It has held 12 workshops with more than 500 resources to develop a completely new SCF.

After the first draft was approved, the RSCERT will work on the final draft for the final approval of the Ministry of Education.
“Children aged 3-4 for the first time will study family concepts, their routines, Janmashtami festivals and use of water in the class to improve their learning outcomes,” said Priyanka Jodhawat, Director of RSCERT.
In the next pre-primary class, the module on traffic rules along with a good and bad touch has also been included with the aim of educating children on these two subjects at the beginning of life.
“The concept of a good and bad touch has also been explained to children through photos of boys and girls.
Special training manuals have also been prescribed for teachers to give subjects,” said Kamlendra Ranawat, assistant professor at the RSCert.
SCF has provided the same focus on pre-primary classes, primary classes and higher classes.
RSCERT will revise the ‘Hamara Rajasthan’ textbook which was introduced last year in each class from VI-XII.
