Moscow: China, Russia, Britain, the United States and France have agreed that further deployment of nuclear weapons and nuclear war must be avoided, according to a joint statement by five nuclear powers published by Kremlin on Monday.
It is said that five countries – who are permanent members of the UN Security Council – consider it their main responsibility for the war to avoid between nuclear countries and to reduce strategic risks, while aiming to work with all countries to create a security atmosphere.
“We say there will be no winner in the nuclear war, it should not be started,” Russian version of the statement.
“As the use of nuclear weapons will have extensive consequences, we also confirm that nuclear weapons – as long as they exist – must serve defensive purposes, prevention of war aggression and prevention of war.” France also released a statement, underlining that five forces confirmed their determination to supervise nuclear weapons and disarmament.
They will continue to be a bilateral and multilateral approach to supervision of nuclear weapons, he said.
The statement took place amid the increase in geopolitical tensions between Moscow and Western countries for concerns about the Russian military build-up near neighboring Ukraine.
Moscow said it could move the army throughout his own territory considered necessary.
Last Thursday, US President Joe Biden told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that the possibility of moving in Ukraine would withdraw sanctions and the US presence increased in Europe, where tension was high after the Russian military buildup on the border.
