Mumbai: City College opens less students on Monday after a winter holiday.
In the midst of increasing Covid cases in the city, the presence of students, who improved a little last month, could go down, said the principal.
Some universities are thinking of returning to online teaching if cases continue to increase in the coming days but are awaiting government direction.
Some colleges, including mithibai and N M, have scheduled their postgraduate exams offline in the coming days.

At Ramnarain Ruia College, presence has risen by 50% in several classes before Christmas.
However, Monday, fewer students reported to campus, said Principal Anushree Lurch.
“Some classes have a test, which is being brought online.

Students from St Xavier’s College have their exam scheduled from Tuesday.
“We take an online exam.
Our teacher will procord the exam from college.

In C colleges, Ulhasnagar, his presence even before the winter holidays.
“On Monday, when we opened, we mostly only saw science students come for science practices.

In the case of the Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Director of Naresh Chandra said there were 25% attendance on campus and most of others attended classes.
“Most parents are worried and we are waiting for instructions from the state government,” he said.
The principal of several technical colleges discussed their opening plan on Monday.
College of Engineering opened on January 9 and with increased Covid cases, they wondered if they had to virtual classes or throw open gates to students.
“We will wait for guidelines from the government as a response from students is that it may not be safe to come to campus.
