New Delhi: A 27-year-old man and his wife was arrested from Inderpuri Delhi Barat because of alleged their involvement in the incident grabbed in the South Campus area.
The police said they were just married and committed a crime to fund a luxurious lifestyle.
The complainant in this case told the police that on December 23, he went somewhere on foot and talked to someone on the phone.
“Suddenly, a boy and a girl at Scooty grabbed her cellphone,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Gaurav Sharma, added that a registered case.
Then, a team led by ACP (Operations) Abhinender Jain was formed and the police arrested a couple from Inderburi.
The defendant was identified as Gaurav Malhotra (26) and his wife Poonam (23).
“Both were also injured during the incident.
It was their first crime,” the officer said.
“They were married four months ago.
Their families came from the background that was economically weak.
Gaurav’s father is the butcher,” the officer added.
“They recently saw a movie after that they planned to commit a crime.”
