Pakur: At least 16 people were killed while 26 others suffered injuries after a collision between buses and truck gas cylinders transported in Jharkhand District, Wednesday.
The accident occurred around 8:30 at the Govindpur-Sahibganjan state highway in the village of Paderkola in Amrapara Regional Police Station.
The bus with 40 passengers headed to Jasidih in Deoghar district of Barharwa in the Sahibganj district, officials said.
“The death toll in the accident has increased to 16, while the injured amount is 26.
At least three of them are important,” RD Paswan’s civilian surgeon to PTI in the afternoon.
One critical patient has called the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi and the process of shifting other active, the police sub-division (SDPO) Ajit Kumar Vimal.
The person who was injured was originally treated at a conscious hospital in the district.
Some people were trapped on the bus, and they were taken out after demolition of vehicles with gases, police said.

Both buses and trucks were speeding, and allegedly that thick fog in the area, which was brought down visibility, caused the accident, they said.
Fortunately, no gas cylinder in the truck exploded, if the accident could take more lives, police said.

The Chairperson of the Minister of Hemant Soren Condoled Death and directed by the district government to ensure the right treatment of injured people.
“May God give peace to the soul of departing and the power of giving to the victim’s family bears the loss.
The right instructions have been given to the district government to provide the right treatment for injured,” he said.
