New Delhi: The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) on Wednesday estimates wet spells in northwestern India, including Delhi-NCR, Punjab and Haryana, and Central India until January 9 because of two consecutive active Western disorders.
However, saying that there may be no cold wave conditions in North India for the next five days.
Noting that the minimum temperature above is normal with 2-5 degrees Celsius in most parts of the northwest of India (not including Uttar Pradesh), West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat and approaching normal in the north and side by side with Central India for the last 24 hours, IMD said That “no significant change at the minimum temperature” most likely most in northwest India for the next 4-5 days.
“The gradual increase in a minimum temperature of 2-4 degrees C is very possible in most parts of Central India for the next 2 days and there are no significant changes after that for the next three days,” he said, putting aside the possibility of cold wave conditions in the regions during Five days ahead.
Referring to Western disorders that is very likely to influence the Northwest India from Thursday night and so on, the meeting department says under its influence, induced cyclone circulation is very likely to be formed in Rajasthan and the southwestern environment on Friday.
“Feeding of high moisture from the Arab Sea is also very possible compared to Northwest & Central India during Friday-Saturday.
Under the influence, isolated heavy rain / snow may over the Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad on Friday-Saturday and ending Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand on Saturday, “he said.
The IMD also estimates the possibility of “heavy rainfall isolated on Punjab and Haryana & Chandigarh on Saturdays and isolated storm activities accompanied by hail above Madhya Pradesh on Saturday-Sunday, and over Vidarbha on Sunday”.
