Mangaluru: The City Police Commissioner has suspended the PSI of the Women’s Police Station, awaits a question on charges of incorrect investigations in connection with the case of Pocso and five more staff from the female police station to consume alcohol and party inside the police station.
City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said that the Rosamma PSI had been suspended due to gross negligence in the case ordered under the Pocso Law, where the defendant was the head of the Pegawasan.
In July last year, a police chief was arrested for behavior with a small victim.
In another incident, five staff from the same police station had been suspended for consuming alcohol and partying in the police station.
There is clear evidence and actions have been taken based on CCTV recording and the investigation report submitted by DCP Hariram Shankar and ACP South Subdivision Ranjith Bandaru, said Shashi Kumar.
Two Asis, two HCS and PC have been suspended, he added.
The action was taken after a complicated investigation carried out by ACP South Subdivision Ranjith Bandaru and ACP Central Subdivision Pa Hegde.
The decision was taken after searching for DCP’s opinion Harirm Shankar, Kumar said.
Meanwhile, in the video inspectors of the police and dance staff became viral, the commissioner clarified that during the Dasara celebration, all officers and staff together with the performance team had taken part and appeared.
