Bhubaneswar: The state has searched for a union government nod as many as 30 road projects with a total length of more than 619 km under middle funds and infrastructure (CRIF).
The State Department of Work, in a letter to Union Minister of Transportation and Jalan Raya, has been searching for Rs 1269 Crore to implement 30 road projects.
Official sources say funds have been sought for increasing roads of large districts and state highways CESS imposed on commuters on these streets while the number is used for maintenance of these streets, the official source said.
The state government has requested funds to strengthen the main roads in almost all districts.
Some of the main roads owned by funds are sought include widening and strengthening HaldiPada NH-16 to West Bengal (17 km) in Balalasore District, strengthening Khaprakhole-Hanshankar Road (13 km) in Balalanir District, an increase of NH -53 to Reamal Via Kansar (10 , 86 km) and widen and strengthen Jalan Patnagarh-Khaprakhole-Harishankar (28 km) in Balalanir District.
