Bengaluru: TCS has been selected for the second phase of the implementation of the SVA passport program for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Analysts expect contracts, scattered for nine and a half years, worth almost $ 1 billion.
They said the contract allowed the expansion of two more years.
TCS has won the first SVA passport contract in 2008.
Worth the RS 1,000 Crore.
In the second leg, TCS said it would refresh existing facilities and systems, and develop innovative new solutions to allow publishing e-passports.
It will also further enhance the experience of people using technology such as biometric, artificial intelligence, advanced data analysis, chatbots, automatic response, natural language processing, and clouds.
Tej Bhatla, Head of the Public Sector Business Unit at TCS, said the company’s partnership with MEA over the past decade has become a benchmark in public-private partnerships for citizen services.
“We are happy to be chosen for the next phase of the Seva passport program and hope to direct further innovation and increase the experience of residents using our contextual knowledge and digital technology,” he said.
The 2008 project sees TCS transforming shipping services related passports, digitizing processes, allowing to apply for online application applications, and establish global benchmarks in timeliness, transparency, and reliability.
The experience delivered in the TCS-Run Seva Kendras (PSKS) passport throughout the country makes popular services.
Accessibility is increasingly improved by expanding services through designated post offices and through the Mission of India and Post throughout the world.
Since airing in 2010, this platform has served more than 130,000 citizens every day.
TCS has established 77 PSK and mobilized more than 2,500 staff throughout India to manage daily operations.
