New Delhi: A 41-year-old Taekwondo Gangster was arrested from the Southeast Delhi Tenggara area for allegedly hatching a conspiracy to endanger a police officer, officials said on Saturday.
They said that Ajay Gurjar was accused of alias Bhai Ji, a citizen of the Palwal district in Haryana, wanted to avenge the death of an Ankit Gurjar in prison and therefore targeted Tihar Jail’s deputy supervisor.
In August 2021, recorded telephone calls between two people, one of which the police had previously been identified as a satte satte satte, became a viral.
In audio, the satte was heard asking others to regulate the AK-47 rifle to kill rival gang members.
They also talked about injuring Tihar Prison DSP.
Ankit was found dead with several injuries on his body on August 4, 2021, at the center of prison number 3, Tihar.
His family members have alleged that he was killed in the relationship of prison staff.
After the arrest of the Satender on August 17, the police said they identified people on the other hand phone calls as Ajay Gurjar.
During the investigation, the police learned about Ajay’s scheduled visit to the bus standing at Badarpur on Thursday night and arrested, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (special cells) Jasheet Singh said.
Ajay was involved in more than 24 criminal cases, including murder, efforts to kill, extortion and attacks in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Mumbai, police said.
JP cousin Gurjar Ajay, who has an underworld connection, has introduced it to Hafij Baloch, a feared gangster in Mumbai.
Then, he shifted to Mumbai and stayed at Baloch’s house.
Ajay is strongly influenced by the luxurious lifestyle of gangsters and therefore, he immediately developed contact with three other world fugions – Iqbal Ibrahim Kaskar (Brother Dawood Ibrahim), Subhash Thakur and Arif Jaan (Brother-in-law Shakil) – in Mumbai, said DCP.
Ajay in 2012 also opened fire on Karan Singh Dalal and Shiv Charan Lal Sharma, the two former Minister Haryana and one Chandi Ram Gupta, a council member in the Palwal Haryana region, for extortion, police said.
He was arrested in 2018 and came out with a guarantee of about 10 months ago, they said.
Ajay is an international Taekwondo black belt holder and has eight gold medals at the national level with its name.
He also won a silver medal at the 2003 International Taekwondo Championship in Bhutan.
Two years later, he had finished fifth at other Taekwondo international shows in Mumbai, police said.
The semi-automatic gun with five live cartridges was restored from it, added the police.
