Kanpur: Two Hindu women who married on Friday approached Kanpur police with complaints that his mother-in-law, who had repented to Christian in December 2020, now forcing them to change their faith.
They alleged that their mother-in-law was also forcibly made her three daughters repent to Christianity from Hinduism.
They further accused that now, along with their mother-in-law, three of their sisters in-laws, who have changed their faith, wanting them to enter Christianity.
That’s when they refused to do it, they threatened them with terrible consequences.
Both also met members of the Poonam Kapoor State Female Commission on Friday and asked for help.
Kapoor then approached the ACP police station Swaroopnagar and Kakealtho responsible and ordered them to start the action immediately into this problem.
The police said that Mona, Shivkumar and Pooja’s wife, Sachin’s wife, alleged that their mother-in-law’s mother Devi had entered the Christian religion in December 2020.
“After that, he made his three daughters into Christianity,” the police said, added that according to two Women, their mother-in-law and three in-laws they want to change them both become Christianity.
They also captivate them with cash to adopt Christianity.
In refusal, their father-in-law and their brother-in-law threatened them with terrible consequences.
ACP Swaroopnagar Brij Nariain Singh on Saturday said, “The probe has been ordered in this matter.
The necessary actions will be taken after a comprehensive investigation.”
