Mangaluru: The district health department has observed a slight increase in the number of young people to overflow, after the increase in Covid-19 cases daily.
Dr.
B V Rajesh, reproductive child health workers, Dakshina Kannada, said that around 9% of people between 18-44 were not vaccinated against Covid-19.
A 26-year-old organizer, who was given his first dose a week ago, said that because of fear of increasing cases, he rushed to the vaccination center.
“People who are not vaccinated are not permitted into the mall, and traveling to other countries is a challenge.
I hesitate to reach out, but finally decide, and inject the Covaxin vaccine at the public health center in the city,” he said.

“Malls and restaurants expect customers to show a vaccination certificate.
If it is not for my Goa trip, where only people who are vaccinated are fully allowed in, I will delay being inoculated.
I took my first dose in December last week,” he said.
Among those who are still hesitant are CET NEET 29 years old.
The underlying health problem disappointed him to be vaccinated.
“My doctor hasn’t been able to convince me with a satisfying answer when taking a vaccine now.
Therefore, I waited for the right time,” said the tutor.
“Many young people aged between 18-44 now come to get shots to protect from Covid-19,” said Dr.
B V Rajesh.
From the target of 9,65,542, 8,90,957 beneficiaries between 18 and 44 years have taken their first dose.
He said that 92% in the segment had taken the first dose, and 72% had taken the second dose.
