Nagpur: False Contract of Fraud and Pension Account Head and Financial Officer (Cafo) has been on all financial works at Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
NMC still hasn’t paid salaries to 8,000 strange employees even after the passage of 13 January.
“Every month, NMC releases salaries in the first week.
But this month there are no signs of payment,” said an uneasy employee.
Even retirement from retired employees has not been released, confirming an official from the NMC account department.
NMC monthly expenses committed more than RS100 Crore, which includes salaries, retirement grants, electricity, raw water bills, orange water payments, gasoline, diesel, telephone bills, security, loan payments, garbage removal etc.
Chairman of the Standing Committee Prakash Bhoyyar said the body of the Civic had sufficient funds and no crisis.
More than RS100 Crore is available with civil bodies to meet committed and other expenses, said sources.
“Because there were no mistakes, even some original contractors faced the financial crisis because the Civic’s body also stopped their payments,” said the source.
Citing an example, the sources say the Civic’s body has not made a payment to the Aapli bus operator, which includes three red bus operators, one electrical institution, two ticket agents, one security guard, and reduced for more than two months.
“The red bus operator has threatened to stop service if payment is not released in a week,” confirm a senior official from the NMC transportation department.
The source said Cafo Vijay Kolhe retired on December 31.
With the state government does not appoint anyone in its place, the work of the whole department has stopped.
In addition, scam fake contracts last month has become increasingly jammed in the account department.
The Mayor of Dayashankar Tiwari stated sadness over the situation.
He has written to the state government to fill up post-Kofo empty.
After the letter to the state government, the City Commissioner Radhakrishnan B has given additional allegations from the Cafo to Deputy Commissioner of the City of Rajesh Bhelawe.
He hasn’t started working in this department, said the source.
Former Chairman of the Vijay Zalke committee stated the unhappiness of NMC’s failure to overcome the situation.
“If some employee department employees face actions for alleged their involvement in deviations, that does not mean that the function of the civil body must be disrupted,” he said.
