Volkswagen India has worked on a new sedan based on MQB A0 on the platform for some time now and the details of the car have dripped in recent months.
Now, we have exclusive updates about launching and launching a car timeline along with several variant details.
In exclusive interactions with Toi Auto, Ashish Gupta, Director of the brand, Volkswagen Indian passenger car, said that the new sedan would be launched on the inaugural events of the world in the first week of March 2022.
It will be the first prime world for every Volkswagen sedan from India.
After opening, the car will be officially launched in the third week of May 2022, with shipping starting on the same day.
When asked about the long gap between the opening and launch date, Ashish said that the company wants to make sure they have adequate stock in its place, especially considering the shortcomings of the ongoing global semiconductors.
Even though the car is often referred to as Volkswagen Virtus, this name has not been confirmed by the company.

While he did not reveal the right detail, we expect the GT sedan variant to sports changes similar to Taigun GT compared to standard variants.
This can include a slightly more dynamic suspension setting, sportsier style, features added, new colors and GT badges that are not wrong.
Under the tent, the new Volkswagen sedan is expected to offer a choice between two gasoline engines, similar to Taigun.
This will include 1.0 L turbo gasoline units and 1.5 L turbo units with power 115 and 150 pf pf, respectively.
Both machines are expected to be offered manually and in the gearbox with a 1.5 L machine paired into the DSG gearbox.
Not surprisingly, the new Volkswagen sedan in India will not be offered with a diesel engine as its own brand of oil burners.
The new Volkswagen sedan is Slavic Skoda’s brother, which is based on the same MQB A0 on the platform and is scheduled for launch around March.
That said, just as Kushaq and Taigun SUVs were very different in several fronts even though it was based on the same platform as the two sedans were also expected to have their unique part offer.
