Chennai: The Greater Chennai Corporation has provided a facelift to the dilapidated community hall in the housing council complex in Thiruvanmiyur.
This was done by the Civic Body Conservancy Contractor Sumaser contractor.
V R Balaji, Head – Information, Education and Communication, Urbaser, said community hall was used by children to learn and have been in dilapidated conditions.
“So, we decided to repair the building and also gave a facelift,” he said.
The Conservancy team painted the hall with design and cartoons that attracted children.
About 130 families live in the complex and are used by almost 70 children every day.
Urbaser recently provided a facelift to waste disposal and gully gully in the slums in the city.
