Mangaluru: Former Head of the Congress Committee of the former MLA JR Lobo and MLC Harish Kumar condemned Moving Raichur District Judge who was allegedly asked for the removal of BR Ambedkar’s photo recently.
Lobo said that it was a tragedy in the judge who had studied the constitution and used the same thing when giving justice to be involved in such actions.
“This is an insult to the Indian constitution and also a mistake that cannot be forgiven.
Who will protect the Constitution when the instance is reported? The High Court and the Supreme Court must ensure that incident disrespect like Ambedkar does not repeat in the future,” Lobo said.
MLC Kumar said the judge’s actions had hurt people who had faith in the constitution.
“The public has the highest respect for justice, and we believe that the Supreme Court will consider this problem seriously.
The incident is not only an insult to Ambedkar, but also for the country’s democratic system,” he added.
