Ahmedabad: Gujarat anti-terrorism (ATS) forces on Sunday arrested an ulama from DaryGanj Old Dlyi for allegedly inciting two followers and arranged a gun for them to shoot Fatal Kishan Bharwad, a 27-year-old citizen Gujarat’s Dhandhuka, on the controversial social media post about Islam .
Two brothers of Rajkot were arrested by the State Police Special Operations Group on charges of supplying pistols and five cartridges to alleged mastermind, identified as Maulana Qamar Ganhi Islam.
This cleric had previously been charged with stunning communal violence in Tripura and was ordered based on the activity that violated the law (prevention) of the Law last November, said an ATS official.
“Islamic steps out of the office belonging to his organization of Tehreek-e-Farogh-e-Islami when he was stopped and arrested,” the official said.
“In April 2021, he had posted a video on social media where he made a provocative speech calling for a counter-attack on the people who posted blasphemous materials.
In another speech, he said someone could punish someone who made a blasphemous statement of Islam.” ATS Saying Islamic has been related to Shabbir Chopda, who allegedly killed Bharwad on January 25, and Imtiyaz Pathhan, who rode a motorcycle where the duo traveled.
Chopda will follow Islamic on social media and have met him several times.
ATS officials claimed Islam gave Chandda the murder weapon and helped him write a plot.
The two brothers who allegedly procured the gun and ammunition were identified as Azim Bashir together, residents of Dudhsagar Road in Rajkot, and the Wasim of his sister.
Both have been submitted to ATS to be interrogated.
Six people, including Cleric Mohammed Ayyub Chopda and Javrawala-based Jamalpur, have been arrested in this case so far.
