Hyderabad: Health Minister T Harish Rao stated that Telangana will be able to produce 550 metric tons (MT) oxygen every day and add that the government has signed an agreement with several organizations in the Pashamylaram industrial area.
Overcoming collection after inaugurating an oxygen factory at the Regional Hospital in Zaheerabad on Sunday, the minister stated that the country only had the capacity to produce 200 MT oxygen when Covid hit Telangana in March 2020.
The state must import oxygen from Tamil Nadu, Goa, and Karnataka as Demand increased to 500 mt, the minister added.
After this development, the Minister of Health stated that the chairman of the K Chandrasekhar Rao minister directed them to increase the capacity of oxygen supply to 550 metric tons.
He said that they had connected all 27,000 beds in the hospital to the oxygen supply company to determine the oxygen plan.
He stated that this was the 86th plant in the state.
