Nagpur: 1,584 police positive tests for omicron variants from Covid-19

Nagpur: As on Monday, 1,584 police in the city have been tested positively against the Omicron Covid variant.
Even though there is no hospitalization or victim, the number of police tests positive about 151% more than during the second wave.
About 94 officers are in a positive list.
Police Commissioner (CP) Amitesh Kumar has enabled import duties for 371 police over 55 years with co-morbidity.
The police have been told to participate in the online training schedule.

“We provide covid kits with drugs and pulse oxymeters to the police which require them.
Every police in isolation of houses receive calls from the police hospital, the welfare department and unit to ask about health and other requirements,” Dr Shinde said.
“The number of cases rose but no one reached the severity stage,” he said.
