Mumbai: After almost a month, City Colleges reopened lukewarm response from students on Tuesday.
The attendance in college is around 20-40%, and on several others, even less than 10%.
However, several school principals said that footsteps were higher than in December.
The college campus closed after the increase in Covid cases in the first week of January.
At Ramnarain Ruia College, around 40% of students reported on the first day, said the headmaster of Anushree Lurch.
In many classes in KC College, the presence is more than 50%, said the Headla Hemlata School, as well as the representative of the HSNC University Chancellor.
“Students are eager to return to campus after a long time.
Many have not seen their studies at all after taking reception.
Some who are not fully vaccinated have also asked to be present,” Bagla said, adding that the presence was clearly higher than December.
St Xavier’s lecture, where more than 40% of students come from outside Mumbai and Maharashtra, see about 20% of attendance in junior and senior colleges.
“The presence was not too high, but for the first time in 22 months, the Corridor lecture buzzed with excitement,” said the Principal of Rajendra Shinde.
St Andrew’s College has decided to receive feedback from students on their vaccination status before calling them to campus.
“Hybrid classes are difficult for teachers.
We will call students in the next few days after getting employees to students who are fully vaccinated,” said the Principal Marie Fernandes.
He said that almost all teachers were present on the first day.
Another tiroler called just a few batches to avoid crowding on the first day.
In Nagindas Khandwala College, his presence was less than 10% on Tuesday.
