On Monday, 1,039 new cases were reported temporarily, on Tuesday, 2,196 new cases were reported.
The number of tests conducted in 24 hours ended on Tuesday night standing at 9,017.
Against this, only 6,597 tests were carried out in the appropriate period on Monday night.
