Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Procedure on Monday Explores non-proportional assets (DA) worth RS 2.26 Crore, including RS 1.12 Crore Bank, from a Junior Junior (JE) engineer in Angul District.
Sleuth anti-corruption was carried out on the properties of JE, Biranchi Narayan Sahoo, in Angul District on Monday for allegedly having disproportional assets with known sources of income.
So, posted at the Office of the Block Development Officer (BDO) in Talcher, has been detained because he was questioned.
Sahoo joined the contractual JE in September 2010.
He used to get a monthly consolidated salary of Rs 12,500 to December 2015.
His work was then arranged.
“His income from salary during its service period has so far come around Rs 39 Lakh.
But we were surprised to find the Bank’s balance of Rs 1.12 Crore, including fixed deposits, with the name Sahoo, wife and family members.
The total value of its wealth can move and not move is around the hospital 2.26 Crore, “said an alert official.
