2 more held to kidnap, income in East Delhi

New Delhi: Two more people have been arrested in the case of a 20-year-old woman who was kidnapped, sexually attacked and paraded in Delhi Timur last week.
So far, 13 people have been arrested and three underage children are arrested.
Meanwhile, Delhi police on Wednesday held a meeting with all the Associations of the Indian Bhedkoot / Kapadia Welfare regarding this case.
The association stated that the defendant and the victim came from the same community, so there were no communal, religious or political colors to be given to the case.
“The narrative that they came from different communities was wrong and efforts to disrupt Harmoni.
We appeal to the police to track the case and submit a Chargesheet immediately,” said a statement from the association, which was also signed by the victim’s grandfather.
Some influencers on social media try to paint incidents in different colors, police said.
There was a heavy presence of security personnel in the area and the police were also deployed outside the victim’s residence.
The victim continued to remain in a safe house with her husband.
On Monday, Nihangs from Punjab reached the victim’s residence to offer family support and even gave a sword to his 18-year-old younger sister as a “backing back” sign.
In the video that became viral on social media, a nihang was seen binding turban in the head of the victim’s father.
They asked the victim’s family to call them and “did not see the government” for help.
