Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Police arrested a man on Wednesday because stealing more than ten UPS (unbroken power supply) from the center of the ATM here.
The man who was arrested was identified as S Senthilkumar, 45, Gengadu in Pappanaticyedapalayam in the city of Coimbatore.
The police said Senthilkumar had pursued BSC (computer science) and completed a certificate course on hardware engineering.
He runs a computer service center and faces big losses in his business.
On February 1, the UPS battery was stolen from the private bank ATM Center in Saanallur.
Four days ago, two UPS batteries were stolen from the nationalized Bank ATM center.
A similar case was reported from the limit of the Saanallur police station and Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore City in the past month.

He told the police that after facing a big loss in his business, he began stealing a battery from the center of the ATM.
He used to choose the ATM center where there was no security guard.
He used to visit the ATM center during the day with the name of the UPS battery maintenance check.
He removed at least one or two batteries and took it away.
People who visit ATM centers to withdraw money do not suspect their activities.
He sold a stolen battery for Rs 1000 -r 1500.
The police Saranturur confiscated about ten batteries from him.
He was returned in Jadic Custody and nested in the Gobichettipalayam sub-prison.
