Kolkata: Kolkata police cyber cells have arrested five people – all from Bihar – from the Shapoorji complex in Rajarhat for allegedly running a sexture racket on Thursday.
From the defendant, a small one.
The rest, Pankaj Kumar, Avinash Kumar, Rohit Kumar and Prince Raj from Vaishali, between 26 and 19 years old.
The police stormed the complex at Wee on Thursday and accused the defendant.
The police said that while the arrest for alleged Sextital had occurred in the past, this for the first time the gang organized landed in the police net.
Police said the defendant used to target senior citizens.
“Apart from the traditional method, the defendant will summon the victims, posing as the Kolkata police detective department officer,” said an officer.
