Pune: A total of 8,086 people recovered from Covid-19 in the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR) on Thursday compared to 4,149 new cases.
In addition, 18 more individuals surrendered to infection in the region in the last 24 hours, taking victims to 19,520 so far.
The area of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad recorded twice as much recovery as a new addition on Thursday.
4,136 patients were discarded in PMC limits as against 2,141 new cases.
Likewise, in the Pimpri Chinchwad area, 2,383 patients were declared cured by opposing 1,084 new detection.
Active active Kasel PMR fell to 42,755 on Thursday night, including 40,904 patients in house isolation and 1,851 in hospital care.
Health officials said the area had reported a gradual decline in everyday cases since the last week.
Cases have fallen in urban and rural areas.
Daily testing has been around 20,000 to 25,000, they said.
A report by district health workers said 23,074 tests were carried out in the region on Thursday.
