Rajkot: Children’s protection from the Sexual Court (Pocso) in Veraval punish 22-year-old Yogesh alias Yogi Chandapa.
Judge Pocso B L Choithani sentenced Chandapa with 14 years of hard prison for raping the minor with the pretext of marrying him.
The court also ordered victims to be paid compensation of 4.62 lakh Rs.
According to case details, Chandpa, on March 2, 2019, kidnapped a 16-year-old girl promising her to marry her.
The convict then raped him several times.
Father Survivor Rape filed a complaint against the defendant at the Somnath Marine police station.
The public prosecutor additional Kandya emerged in this case with the Bakula Dabhi prosecutor and they presented 17 witnesses before the court during the trial.

“Chandapa was punished under the IPC section 363, 366, 376 and under ACT Pocso.
He has been sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of RS 3,000 under the IPC Section 363, seven years in prison under section 366 and RS 5,000 penalties and under the 14-year prison Pocso Law and 10,000 Hospital penalty.
He will undergo all the sentences simultaneously.
