Google Chrome has got a new logo.
The logo (only if you see it carefully) seems to have a brighter color and a larger blue circle in the middle.
Also, the new icon has no shadow as before.
The Google Chrome logo has changed after the 8-year gap.
The browser was introduced in 2008.
Since then, the basic design and element of the logo remained changed with timely changes in 2011 and 2014.
Chrome Elvin Hu designer detailed the changing browser logo in a series of tweets.
“Some of you might have noticed the new icon in today’s Canary Chrome update.
Yes! We refresh the Chrome brand icon for the first time in 8 years.
The new icon will begin to appear throughout your device,” he wrote in a tweet.
“We simplify the main brand icons by removing shadows, perfecting the proportion and brightening colors, to align with more modern Google brand expressions,” he continued.
Other changes introduced by the company are OS specific customization for Windows, Mac and iOS devices.
For Windows 10 and 11, the Chrome icon will have a consecutive appearance that fuses with other icons in the taskbar.
On MacOS, the icon will have a 3D design similar to Apple System Apps.
Although using brighter colors and no extra gradient on ChromeOS, beta applications on iOS will have icons such as blueprints as nods to applications that focus on Apple developers, and a stable application icon will have a new proportion to tiles.
