BHubaneswar: BJP on Saturday demanded the cancellation of the notification of the State Election Commission to finalize the voter list for city selection in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and mixed.
The BJP delegation meets the Secretary of the Secretary of the RN Sahu and proposes a memorandum, highlighting that the February 2 notification “violates the Odisha Municipal Corporation, because voters are only given six days to submit their objections / suggestions to the voter list compared to the supply of 10 days in action”.
According to notification, the draft voter list will be published on February 10.
Objection, if any, will be considered from February 11 to February 16.
