Chennai: Larger Chennai police arrested a different 28-year-old man to make a threat of a hoax bomb for the main minister’s main M k Stalin on Saturday night.
On Saturday, the police control room received information that the bomb had been planted at CM residence and it would leave soon.
Local police and bomb detection troops are warned.
They did a thorough search at Minster’s head residence.
They stated the call as a trick after a few hours of search.
Sniffer dogs have been pressed into service.
With the help of a telephone number where the caller made a call, the police traced the man to Chengalpet.
Local police secured the suspect, identified as Iyappan, 28 Vadaporundhavakkam village near Tiruporur.
He told the police that he was frustrated because he was not offered a house under the state government scheme.
He said that he had repeatedly sent a petition to find a house quoting his financial condition, but officials did not consider it.
He also tried to meet officials in this matter but could not succeed.
The question revealed that he had previously made a threat of a hoax bomb in the Terminus Bus Koyambedu, when the police had to do an examination through.
Police CMBT has registered a case against him last year.
He was arrested but then released with a guarantee.
The police also check whether there are other cases that oppose it in the district.
Probe is further active.
