Kanpur: The central government has provided final sanctions to the Mega Angpur skin cluster.
The Union Cabinet at his meeting was held in January which was given permission to the source project, the central government would provide Rs 325 Crore to develop facilities on the cluster site.
The department for industrial and internal trade promotion (DPIIT) of the Union Minister of Trade has provided a green signal to this project in 2021.
Work on the project cannot be started for several technical reasons.
About 35,238 hectares of land belonging to the gram Samaj are present under the category ordered.
This land must be exchanged for land purchased by entrepreneurs from farmers.
Exchange will take place soon.
Mega Leather Cluster Development Up Ltd.
already has 42.02 hectares of land.
The company has also bought 27 hectares of land from farmers.
The total project costs around Rs 800 Crore.
Project Report for Primary Development Costing RS 451 Crore was sent to the ministry who was sanctioned.
DPIIT will release Rs 125 Crore to provide basic facilities in the cluster.
The National Mission for Clean Ganga will provide Rs 200 Crore which build a general waste treatment plant.
Same, the state government will provide Rs 50 Crore to establish a public facility center.
About 350 industrial units will be established in the cluster.
It is hoped that they will do business with Rs 13,000 crore tones per year.
The cluster will provide work to around one lakh.
Mukhatrul Amin, a former Chair of the Skin Export Council, stated that project sanctions were a great prize for the skin industry.
Setting up a cluster will increase the export of leather items.
