Vadodara / Anand: Moved by the fate of the Bootlegger woman, Anand police came to save a woman who had soft tissue sarcoma (malignant tumor) at her leg.
RN Khant, Police Inspector with the Rustic Khambhat Police Station and his team robbed the area in the village of Kanzat when they saw Jyotsna Thakore struggling with his right foot which had a swollen tumor.
The police confirmed that the woman, who previously liked Business Liquor Toddy and Desi, underwent surgery for cancer treatment.
After surgery, Jyotsna has undergone foot amputation.
“We have now decided to help him with artificial feet too so he did not face difficulties in the movement,” Khant said, added that the woman was taken to Ahmedabad’s civil hospital where she was operated and the tumor was released.
“I don’t know how I suffer from this disease in my feet.
But it continues to swell causing a lot of pain.
I visited various hospitals but did not receive any treatment.
After the rural Khambhat police inspector intervened, I received care,” said Jyotsna, mother of a person Five-year-old daughter and a three year old son.
The woman, who lives in ‘Kutcha’ house in Indiranagar, a slum in the village, faces pain in her legs for the past three years.
“Police Inspector gave me cash to feed my children when I was undergoing treatment at Ahmedabad’s civil hospital.
He has given me a new lives that I will always thank Him,” he said.
