Hyderabad: Welder and the owner of the tanker killed and the other three suffered injuries when a blank diesel tank exploded on Jalan Hyderabad-Vijayawada service in Suryapet at Monca.
The deceased was identified as M Arjun welder and the owner of the B Arjun-Cum-Driver from Suryapet.
“There was a leak from one of the tanker valves and the explosion occurred when Arjun tried to improve leaks through gas welding,” Suryapet police said.
Arjun was employed by Ramana to carry out work.
Because of the severity of the explosion, the wall tanker open open.
“Welder and B Arjun who stood close to him died in place.
Ramana, the driver of Tanker Mallesh and Cleaner Venkata Narayana suffered an injury.
Malleless suffered a severe injury and was shifted to Hyderabad for better care.
Ramana and Narayana are undergoing treatment at a local hospital , “Suryapet Dsp Mohan Kumar said.
The police suspect that when doing welding work, welders and other people might not take appropriate precautions.
“When Arjun began welding, sparks may have ignited fuel smoke and caused an explosion,” police said.
Team instructions collect forensic samples from the place.
The case is being registered.
